Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 3 is the 6th game of the Call of Duty video game series (without expansion packs) and it is the 3rd and final sequel of “Modern Warfare” till 24th August, 2012. It is a first person action shooter video game and it has lots of popularity in the whole world. After the lots of popularity of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (1) and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 2, the incomplete story directly continues in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 3. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 3 is developed by Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games but additional work done by Raven Software, Neversoft and Treyarch (Wii version).  This game is published by Activision for whole world and Square Enix for Japan on 8th November 2011 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii with single-player, co-operative and multiplayer modes. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 3 has IW 4.0 engine, which is developed and updated by Infinity Ward. This engine has some improvements including lighting, shadow and texture streaming, reflections of some objects on tile floors, audio engine etc. It has bullet penetration, improved AI, lighting engine upgrades, particle system enhancements features. Player’s health systems and movements are same as its previous version and some weapons are updated in the game. But in some case, player can perform some extra movements. Graphics and sounds are also impressive and some new added weapons are also excellent to take advantage over the enemies. Game savings options are also same like its previous versions. "Kill Confirmed" and "Team Defender" game modes are added for multiplayer modes and the new "Recon Juggernaut" Point streak reward is also available for multiplayer modes. Besides this, many new features are also enabling for co-operative and multiplayer modes.


Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 3 continues direct storyline from Modern Warfare (1) and Modern Warfare 2, where Cpt. John Price, Cpt. John "Soap" MacTavish, Nikolai and their teams are trying to eliminate the Russian Ultranationalist leader Vladimir Makarov. In the game, the player will control most of the part “Yuri”. Cpt. John "Soap" MacTavish and Sgt. Kamarov are dead during the mission and the story again turns into another climax. But finally Cpt. John Price found his goals.  Vladimir R. Makarov, Viktor "Volk" Khristenko and Waraabe are the main antagonists of this game. Sgt. Derek "Frost" Westbrook, Sgt. Marcus Burns, F.S.O. Agent Andrei Harkov, AC-130 Spectre Gunner, President of the United States, Vice-President of the United States are the notable characters of this game and without them, more than 50 characters are playing many roles in the game.


Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 3 also earned some extra-ordinary receptions in 2011. Their average rating is 9.4 out of 10. Some websites, reviewers and companies gave it 10 out of 10. It sold more than 8.5 million copies in the whole world within 24 hours of release and it is the biggest entertainment launch of all time till 24th August, 2012.

Freedom Fighters have Glacier game engine, which IO Interactive used in Hitman 2: Silent Assassin video game but they used a modified version into Freedom Fighters. In the game, player’s movement and graphics is very nice. It has squad based elements and there is a charisma meter for you. When you perform some extra action, your charisma meter will increase.  The more charisma you gain, the more squad mates you can recruit but maximum twelve. In the game, you are the leader of those squad mates and you need to command them in the war. You can give them three commands such as "follow", "attack", and "defend”. You also need some responsibility because you are the leader of your squad but besides this, you need some clever thinking because if you destroy enemy’s helipad first, then you can complete your mission without helicopter’s attack. There is also a health bar, which indicates player’s health. In the game, medic kits used for restore player’s health. Player can give medic kits to injured people, other injured soldiers and his own injured squad mates.


Freedom Fighters have many difficulty levels in the game. The main object is to reach the checkpoint and waving flag. Player can view his map at any time in the game. You can also update and refill your weapon at any time. In some missions, player needs to act alone in the war. In multiplayer modes it is also an exciting game because there every bunker is vitally important. But unfortunately, PC version does not support multiplayer mode.


“Freedom Fighters” is based on against the Soviet Union. In the game, Soviet soldiers led by General Tatarin seize Troy and the launches a surprise invasion of New York City. After rescuing Isabella Angelina by Christopher Stone, they set up a campaign in the base for operations in the lost New York. Without Christopher Stone and Isabella Angelina, Troy Stone, Mr. Jones, Colonel Bulba, Phil Bagzton, The Kid, General Vasillj Tatarin and Tatiana Kempinski are the main characters of this game. Christopher Stone is also known as “The Freedom Phantom”.

In the previous game of Call of Duty, player had an opportunity to ride on a car, ship, helicopter and plane by other player or virtually but in the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 2 in such missions, player needs to control a snowmobile and a boat for eliminating their targets with actions and it will surely give you lots of excitement and joy.


The story continues from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (1), where John Price and John "Soap" MacTavish tried to kill all ultranationalists and seize all terrorists but after the killing of Imran Zakhaev, they found a link with Vladimir Makarov, who begins a campaign against the West. In this game, player’s main target is to kill Vladimir Makarov within different characters but finally it is not succeeded due to betray of Lieutenant General "Gold Eagle" Shepherd. However, the story continues into Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 3. But many climax and anti-climax makes this game more attractive and enjoyable. Ghost is another main and popular character for this game and as a result, a six part comic book “Modern Warfare 2: Ghost” published by WildStorm on 17th August 2009. Besides them, Nikolai, Sergeant Gary "Roach" Sanderson, Sergeant Foley, Corporal Dunn, Overlord, Ozone, Rocket, all members and soldiers of Task Force 141 and many others are also play important roles in the game.
